Stress Transformation

Overview of course

Eight hour workshop which enables delegates to understand the physiology of the stress response, as well as their own unique stressors and energizers. Cutting edge biofeedback technology as well as cognitive-behavioural strategies are employed to help delegates to make stress ‘work’ for them. Workshop presented by Clinical psychologist and Soft Skills developer.

Target Audience

Middle and senior management of corporate and governmental organizations. The workshop also fits well with change management and BEE initiatives.

Course objectives

Improving productivity and psycho-social wellness of delegates by supplying tools with which to affect behavioural shifts and sustain change.

Course content

Pre-workshop:

Stress audit questionnaire is administered online. The test is standardized for South African population.

Workshop:

Part 1:

Understanding the physiology of the stress response
Understanding burnout

Part 2:

Individual psychometric assessment to pinpoint stressors, energizers and typical responses to stressors

Part 3:

Managing levels of arousal (biofeedback technology)
Building resilience to stress on a physical, psychological and cognitive level
Transforming stress into adaptive responses

Post-workshop:

Feedback to organization
Six week follow up for delegates to help sustain change.
